SIG “Cartons for Good” Thailand
A third of all food produced for human consumption is wasted. At the same time, nearly 733 million people suffer from malnutrition. Through the Foundation’s “Cartons for Good” initiative and the use of SIG technology, SIG preserves surplus food and improves the lives of people in need by providing them with healthy nutrition.
CAPTURE MEDIA supports this project by providing staff and editing resources for media production, working closely with SIGs communications department.
This is driven by a commitment to, and belief in, the project – and, of course, at a symbolic cost price.
How it works:
- Upcycling surplus fruit
- Recipe development
- Smart processing & packaging
- Trusted distribution
- Closing the loop
The impact:
- Farmers earn income from produce that would otherwise go to waste.
- Nutritious food stays safe for 12 months without refrigeration.
- Vulnerable people receive the nourishment they lack.
- Packaging is collected and recycled.
