NFC User Experience Wall in Riad
As part of a large-scale project for the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior, we designed impressive LED surfaces measuring 20 meters in length on both sides of the Experience Walk over the course of two days. One of the stations utilized NFC technology to present various processes—such as customs controls and other digital government services—through interconnected storylines. Visitors were able to choose boxes and place them at specific stations, triggering the corresponding scenario, which then displayed the relevant content.
Another section of the Experience Walk was controlled via a 25-meter-long, radar-based touch controller. This allowed any number of users to access menu items and retrieve content interactively at any point along the LED wall through a touch overlay.
The third station featured a central, curved LED wall where interactive access to core data on the government’s future plans was enabled through radar-based sensor technology. This technology allowed visitors to gain deeper insights into the government’s visions and projects in an innovative and engaging way.
This project clearly demonstrated how advanced technology, combined with interactive experiences, can be used to make complex information tangible and easily accessible.
